The NIH Blueprint
Our recently-awarded P30 is part of the NIH Blueprint for Neuroscience Research, an effort to enhance collaboration among the NIH Office of the Director and 15 NIH Institutes and Centers. The Blueprint plan is theme-based over the next several years:
FY 2007: Neurodegeneration
FY 2008: Neurodevelopment
FY 2009: Plasticity
For FY 2007, a Blueprint Neurodegeneration Project Team is developing activities that should translate into funding opportunities in the near future. For a more detailed description, visit http://neuroscienceblueprint.nih.gov/blueprint_basics/initiative_concepts.htm
For FY 2008, there is an outstanding Request for Information (RFI) regarding Tools and Research in Neurodevelopment: http://grants1.nih.gov/grants/guide/notice-files/NOT-MH-06-114.html
