Age-related neurodegeneration leading to dementia
The Farr Laboratory is part of the St. Louis University School of Medicine in the Division of Geriatrics, Pharmacology and Physiology as well as the St. Louis VA. Our laboratory studies aging and dementia from normal age-related changes in memory to diseases such as Alzheimer’s disease, traumatic brain injury and chemotherapy induced dementia. We focus on examining pathways involved in dementia and new treatments. Our laboratory fits into the mission of the Hope Center in that the focus of our laboratory is the tackle age-related neurodegeneration leading to dementia.
